Blocking Disks at Ingest

I, like a whole bunch of people in the photography community, have several external disks permanently attached to our Macs. That's goood....
The problem is that when we chose Ingest Disk then all those disks pops up as disks to ingests in the Ingest widget. It really should be possibly to permanently block disks from the import dialog so that the erase and unmount when finished options can be used.
You might not wanna have your home folder erased and unmounted you know... ;-/

That option should be in the widget.

It could be done that way.  But there is a mechanism in place and it works well.  It is also fairly easy for the user to accomplish just the way it is.  It does require reading the manual though, but that's something we encourage anyway.

We may even make an option to clear a drive from the list, but it would require more than a simple button for hiding--there would have to be another UI that would list all of the drives that have been hidden and allow one to make it visible again.  The solution that is in place, while not obvious, gives the user complete control.

Please read the manual.  If there is something hard to understand or isn't covered to your satisfaction, please let us know.

touch /.../.PMIngestIgnore fixed the problem, for me. Thanks SK.
RTFM is not a good way to get you all those paying customers that you crave thou. PM is an application with a GUI. You know what it's for. And that's what sells it.
You should not have to read the manual for such a basic thingie!
I could replace PM with "Terminal", "exiftool" and Finder... But I don't wanna!
