slide show slow to exit (does it exit at all?)

I am using PM 5.0, build 15800 on Win 8.1 Pro.
I noticed that slideshows are either really slow to exit or do not exit at all. I usually have to open the task manager and select PM. In that case the slide show ends and PM asks me whether I want to exit the software.

How are you exiting the slide show?
