Remembering last IPTC edit
« on: March 03, 2015, 04:41:45 PM »
I don't know if this is practical or do-able. Would it be possible to have PM remember the last set of IPTC edits AND have a way to paste that as I'm editing? Here's the scenario...

As I edit I update the caption box, maybe an IPTC field or two. Now I know that I can copy that and have it ready to paste BUT that means having to hit the copy button every time. What if PM just 'remembered' my last set of IPTC updates and had those ready to go for future files? Then when I get to a new player I manually update that one and subsequent files as I advance though the edit I hit a "paste last" button and bingo everything from the last manual edit is pasted into this file.....

Just a thought.

I suppose it could, but if the user used the copy button at all then I think it should take precedence, meaning using the paste button would paste what was copied rather than what was last used.

Okay so if I use the copy button for image 100 and then on image 125 I manually enter data into fields when I hit the paste button on image #128 would I get the IPTC from #100 or #125? Ideally I'd want #125. The last IPTC data I entered.... just thinking out loud.

At this point, PM would just have to read your mind.  It would be better to have a "Paste Last" button instead of making the Paste button have two (unseen) modes.

Agreed.... "Paste Last" would be great!
