Is it possible to open one or more pictures per drag&drop from another application on OSX in PM?

Optimal would be an new (virtual) contact sheet with the dropped in pictures - also pictures from different file locations.

In my case PM ignores from other applications dropped pictures. Dropping in the same pictures to other applications work.

I suspect that those applications are not dragging the files themselves, but actual image data.  PM works with folders and files in its contact sheets and not image (pixel) data.  If you drag and drop from the Finder, the Finder delivers paths to files and not the data contained in the files and PM does respond by opening up the folder containing those images.

I had the same problem with the finder.
It's not possible to open/view an jpg file in PM per drag&drop to PM.

Only drag&drop an folder displays all images of this folder in an new contact sheet.
Is it possible to do this with one or mor jpg files?

Drag and drop your photos from the Finder onto the Photo Mechanic application icon in the Dock.  A Contact Sheet tab will open and the images you dropped will be preselected.
