Pictures tagged in Nikon D750 are not tagged in PM
« on: April 17, 2015, 07:42:14 AM »
Hi,

I recently bought a Nikon D750 and now encountered a problem. Often I tag/lock pictures while shooting with the key symbol directly on the camera. When opening the card in PM (5.0 build 16299, Win 8.1) the pictures were always tagged. At least with all my Nikon cameras until the D750. This causes quite some inconvenience.

Anyone else with this problem, maybe even with a solution?`

Oliver

This may be due to which card slot your Nikon considers primary.  The Primary slot gets the tag information. You can check this in the shooting menu,

Checked. Card was in slot 1, slot 2 is only used as backup when card in slot 1 is full. I am shooting only RAW.

EDIT: Very strange. Now it works. Same card, same pictures. It will now try and see if it has anything to do with both slots being occupied.

Out of curiosity, do images out of card slot 2 carry the tag information through the ingest?

Hi Mick,

I did not ingest just open the card as a contact sheet. When locking a photo on the card in slot 2 it showed up as tagged in PM. Seems like my PM had a little hickup and is back to normal now.
