IPTC removed on LR5 import
« on: April 18, 2015, 06:58:39 AM »
A colleague using PM 5 build 16299(579a307) on a Macbook Air using OSX Yosemite is ngesting and applying IPTC and titling images as normal. When he imports the images in to Lightroom 5 5.7 all the captioning is being removed. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance

Post a sample image here that LR won't import and see the metadata you've applied.  If the image is a RAW file, post the XMP sidecar file as well (if it exists.)

If LR had previously seen the images (they were imported into LR already) prior to the metadata being applied in PM, you'll have to force LR to read the metadata from the file(s).  Otherwise, LR will show you only the metadata it has recorded in its database which would mean that your new metadata wouldn't show up.

Hi Kirk.

We checked the metadata in LR5's Library section. The caption was empty on all images. They are RAW files but not previously imported. We have checked all settings with my settings and there were a few different which are now corrected. We will check if everything works tomorrow.
