Save pictures into a zip folder
« on: May 24, 2015, 11:37:26 AM »
Hi,

I very often make a selection of pictures within PM that I need to zip into a folder to send via dropbox or wetransfer. So first I have to create an empty folder on my desktop, move the selection into that folder, zip the folder and then delete the unzipped, orginal folder.

Would it be possible to add a zip funktioniality to the "save as" menu? I could imagine that this could be helpful for quite a few.

Sure, that's entirely possible.

Oliver,

That sounds great. Thank, Kirk. I'll be looking out for this feature.

Please understand that we have not agreed to implement it.  It would be possible to do what you ask, but we have other higher priority tasks to complete first.

Don't worry, Kirk. This is exactly how I got your reply. I did not assume that this feature was top priority now ;-)

As a workaround, this could also be done with Automator on OSX.

This could actually be beneficial for us Mac users now that mac mail will no longer accept attachments. I could see this as a very helpful feature.

It won't accept attachments?  Since when?

I did a Google search for "Apple Mail won't accept attachments" and didn't find much on the subject beyond certain people who were having all kinds of problems including not receiving attachments.

10.10.4 using apple mail embeds the images rather than attaches making it impossible to send high res images through PM.  The only alternative is using Microsoft Outlook at this point.
