Camera Date readout by Photomechanic and Fotostation
« on: June 16, 2015, 07:54:35 AM »
I’m wondering what is going on here?
See the file with this mail.

The camera date in the two programs are different.
For some reason, al lot of my files have wrong camera dates???

So I changed a few in Photomechanic and they show up with correct dates in PM.
But in Fotostation (FS) I still see the original wrong date.

So the programs are reading different camera dates out of the file. But where?
Hope someone can help me here

kind regards,

Gerlo

Could it just be that photostation is showing you the file modification date, not the date captured?
Apart from file system related dates such as the file modification date, a file can have a number of date fields in its metadata. Depending on what the software is configured to display, you may see unexpected results. If you post a sample JPEG, I will have a look at the metadata and determine what it (probably) is what photostation is using for the dates.
