Another High Sierra problem, using the latest version of Photo Mechanic from this thread (18964) it will randomly crash to finder when using the Photoshelter uploader.

Same here on High Sierra just tried with one photo and then 10 photos as soon as you hit the send button it shuts down PM.  I am using 2 macbook pros one with Sierra 10.12.6 and the other with High Sierra. Build 18964 works fine on Sierra.

Try deactivating PM and activating it again.  Some users have told us that this stops the crashes that occur when uploading to PhotoShelter.

Just tried that and it crashed again as soon as the send button is hit in uploader, never seen this problem before High Sierra.  No indication in the crash logs afterwards.

Thanks Kirk this worked for me - Macbook Pro Mid 2010 2.66 i7
I am still waiting to upgrade my main MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015) to avoid headaches on locations

That is wise.  We always suggest waiting on any new OS release for at least two updates before switching/upgrading.

I'm considering rolling back to Sierra as there are too many bugs in 10.13. Along with the PM uploader bug there are issues with graphics on Photoshop CC / MacBook Pro but the biggest issue is Apple completely removing the FTP server from OSX in High Sierra. Makes camera wifi and Live Ingest impossible now. Wish they had documented that.

On the latest build (18964), after sorting for camera Serial, I can't select any images.

Are you able to do anything with the images?  Has the entire application hung and become unresponsive?

Please post your custom sort parameters.

Thanks,

-Kirk

App is not hung, I just can't select anything or scroll the images.

Primary is {serial}

Secondary is {datesort}

Tim,

Are you able to reproduce this at will?  If so, can you take a screenshot of the entire application window and post it here?  Use the 'Attachments and other options' link when you're composing your reply to this message and there you'll be able to upload your JPEG format screenshot.

Thanks,

-Kirk

Tim,

Here's the screen shot!

Sorting by anything but Filename or Modification time is very slow.  Looking at your screenshot I can see that PM is about 1/20th of the way through the sort and is still working on it.  With 4000 images to open, parse metadata, and sort, it could take a few minutes.

Good Morning, I'm sport photographer and I've so many trouble after uploded to Mac OS High Sierra, specially with Live Ingest between my camera and MacBook where I'm working live with PM. Generally I'm using ethernet cable to transmit pics during the events, but now is impossible, I mean on my camera seems the pics are sent to Mac but with PM open and Live Ingest ON can't see any pics. Suppose I've to wait a new updating for PM, justo toknow if someone had same problem please.
Thank you very much.
