Hi i have a desktop windows machine that has a i7 5820k and 64gb ram along with a 2080 ti RTX card and getting very slugglish performance on raw images take on a 24mp Sony A9 camera.

See here for a video of the problem

Running latest version 6 installed today.

Its no better then culling/viewing on LR CC, maybe even slower....

Is raw rendering using Adobe DNG Converter enabled?

I have an I7-8700K, 32GB RAM and a GTX 1080 videocard and that works superfast.

Rien.

Hi,

Thanks for posting the video illustrating the problem.

PM6 should be faster than PM5 at browsing on the same hardware.

Unfortunately, an increasing number of users across varying operating systems are reporting an unexpected sluggishness with PM6.

Identifying and fixing the problem is a top priority. (Replicating the problem under test conditions is proving elusive. But we anticipate fix soon.)

Regards,

Bill

In PM6's Preferences go to the "Render Cache" settings.  Grab a screen shot and post it here.  Use the 'Attachments and other options' link when you're composing your reply to this message and there you'll be able to upload your JPEG format screenshot.

Thanks,

-Kirk

Same on
win10
i7-6700,
gtx1060
16 g ram
ssd.

Cull/select in PM6 is slower than PM5, and gets progressively slower. (lightroom like)

I run though culling in 6 then the same photos in 5. PM5 was much quicker.

I have culled/selected about 5000 images in past 3 days. So yes, have gone back to PM5.
