Hello Kirk,
I have a problem with the tracking of the 4 icons on the thumbnails.
It works well with vertical mouse movement but not horizontal.
You have to go very slowly, wait for the icons to disappear, so that the icons appear on the next thumbnail.
I have this problem with my iMac 27" 5K and not with my MacBookPro 15" (default low screen, 1440 × 900, from 2012).
Photo Mechanic Plus Version 6.0, build 5560 (6e1b8a6)
Attached video...
Thanks for the video. I cannot reproduce it on my system, but it doesn't have a 5K screen. Does it make any difference if you change the size of the thumbnails? Does the problem come and go or is an always present problem?
Yes, the problem persists...
Except that it works better with a large interval between thumbnails, so the icons have the time to stop appearing and to be displayed on the next thumbnail.
Problem at home?
Things are going fine here, thanks.

Oups, sorry, I meant that maybe it was a problem with my system...
My mouse is a Logitech G502 Lightspeed, that works with their "G HUB" software, I thought that might be the cause of my problem...
even though I hadn't noticed anything weird so far!
Edit: I just tried with the Photo Mechanic Plus R5376 version, same problem, ditto with Photo mechanic 6, ditto with the Apple mouse...
When I select "Show info Tooltips", the superimposed information window follows the mouse correctly, unlike the "4 icons" which are not displayed.
