Photo Mechanic 2025.6: Issue with untag shortcut (⌘-)

Since today's update to Photo Mechanic 2025.6, build 8612 (1de1b5e), I can no longer untag multiple selected photos using the keyboard shortcut. The previous combination command- no longer works. In the new Keyboard Shortcut Settings, command- is still listed as the shortcut, but at the top it shows command'
Unfortunately, it can't be changed back to -.
Any ideas?

What kind of keyboard do you have?

Command- untags selected photos for me.  I can also clear the shortcut and re-record Command- and it is accepted and works in the Contact Sheet.

Open up the Keyboard Viewer and take a screenshot of it and post it here, please.  Use the 'Attachments and other options' link when you're composing your reply to this message and there you'll be able to upload your JPEG format screenshot.

I have now tested various macOS keyboard layouts. The US layout works. None of the other layouts I tried (German, Swiss German, and French) work. I’ve recorded a screen capture (*.mov). The issue occurs on both my Mac Studio and my MacBook Pro.

Thank you for the video.  We'll investigate and see what we can do to address the problem.

Unfortunately, it can't be changed back to -.

If you record your own value rather than use the Reset Shortcut to Default button, does that work?

Where is the minus (subtract/hyphen) key on your keyboard?  Is it next to the right Shift key, or near the backspace key?

That doesn't matter because the problem also occurs on the MacBook Pro. The issue is that the hyphen character is being replaced by a different letter. It seems to be a language issue, not a keyboard issue. My Apple keyboard has two hyphen keys. No matter which one I press, the problem is the same.

There seems to be a mismatch of special characters in the background due to different language settings.

I've never used the ⌘/ shortcut in my 18 years of using Photo Mechanic. I only noticed that ⌘/ blocks the ⌘- combination on my system. There seems to be some kind of conflict. It’s best if you set your Mac’s keyboard layout to German, French, or something similar, then you’ll see the problems directly. When I switch the keyboard to French, even the ⌘, shortcut to access the settings doesn’t work. That’s rough…

I am doing exactly that.  I have added German, French, and Swiss German keyboard layouts to my system.

No, of course not.  But that's why I keep asking you questions.  I want to know what key you press on your keyboard to do the equivalent of Command minus, and where it is physically located on your keyboard?
