Welcome to Camera Bits Forums
The recent thread regarding hidden/system directories and files (http://forums.camerabits.com/index.php?topic=1902.0) brought up another related question: Does Photo Mechanic ignore hidden and/or system files during an ingest process?
Yes, it ignores hidden and system files, unless they are known file types (like JPEG, TIF, CRW, NEF, etc.)

If so, that would seem to indicate that .ICO files, if hidden, would be skipped during an ingest. This would be a possible solution to a problem I'm having with files such as autorun.inf and image.ico in the root of a CF card which are getting imported.
