Smugmug allows you to create sub-categories and create multiple galleries within each sub-category. Gallery names can be the same across sub-categories yet are maintained as separate galleries. Example: Create East and West as categories and then SE and NE within East and NW and SW within West. I can then place a "Family" gallery in each of the 4 sub-categories. When trying to upload to Smugmug from PM the PM uploader does not show the sub-categories (in this case the selections would just be Family, Family(1), etc.). The LightRoom plug-in for smugmug is really good and something to check out.
