Adobe RGB files turning into SRGB

It might be that I have an old version.

4.5.4

But when I upload my Mark IV Adobe RGB images, they turn into sRGB.  Is it the camera or software?

BTW, my MArk IIN Adobe RGB images are coming in as Adobe RGB.

Ingest doesn't modify color space unless you've set Ingest/Copy to embed ICC profiles.  You can check this in the Color Management tab of the Photo Mechanic Preferences dialog.

What is telling you that your images are now in sRGB?

Sorry It's a little weird.  I think since I haven't updated my PM.  It doesn't show me any of the settings of the Mark IV and when I click the magnifying glass, in the info pallet, it says it's sRGB.  But when I open them in Photoshop, they are Adobe RGB. 

Oh and I shoot RAW not JPG

The Mark IV came out long after version 4.5.4 was developed.  You could try a demo of version 4.6.3 if you'd like.

Have you perhaps set Photoshop to always open RAW files as aRGB? Another thing to note with RAW files is that they  do not inherently have a profile and it is the raw converter that really assigns the profile (Camera RAW, internally uses Prophoto RGB by the way). That said, the embedded JPGs usually (always?) have the profile that you've set in the camera (e.g. sRGB or aRGB). What PM shows you is the embedded JPG file (unless you're on a Mac and specified the use of the OS X raw converter), and that's also where it takes the profile info from.

Does this explain what you're seeing at your end?
