PM5 Thumbnail Rotate is reset by St Color Class or Set Rtaing

Hi

I am running PM5 Beta2 on a Windows 7 64bit platform.  If I rotate one or more thumbnails and then set the Color Class or the Rating then the thumbnail rotation is reset to it's original orientation.
No sure if this is the correct forum for reporting this.

You're in the right place for this.

More information would be useful however.  What kind of images are you working with?

Can you post screen shots of your Files and IPTC/XMP tabs in your Photo Mechanic Preferences dialog?  Use the 'Attachments and other options' link when you're composing your reply to this message and there you'll be able to upload your JPEG format screenshots.

Interesting: happens to me too (on a Mac) and is completely reproducible.

Rotate file, set rating => rotation is reset.
Rotate, set colour class => rotation is reset
Rotate, tag/untag => rotation is reset

Even if you set the same colour class or rating, the rotation is reset…

Happens both on JPGs and NEFs…

Should be easily fixable, I hope

I am also able to reproduce this with JPGs. As described above this happens in the contact sheet and the preview.
CR2's (Canon RAWs) work well. I can rotate them and change the color class without the rotation being reset.

Update: It works NOT on every CR2...
I have checked now about 10 RAWs and only 2 are working. All RAWs from the same day with the sam cam.
There are 2 RAW-JPG pairs: does not work. Neither on the RAW or on the JPG after disjoining the view.
Single RAWs work only sometimes.. I deleted the XMP's: no change.
I deletes all the meta-data via "Tools => Delete Metadata" => no change
