Flickr Upload
« on: May 24, 2013, 04:49:01 PM »
I was trying to upload to flickr.  I got the initial warning about not receiving the photosets, but after a few moments they showed up. I initiated the upload and it looked like it worked.  However, when I went to flicker I couldn't find the picture.  I selected a set to send it to, but it's not there.  I tried a couple of times, but no luck.  I did have the box selected "save upload logs to folder", but I couldn't find the folder that contains the files.

Thanks in advance.

Sorry about that.

I am using PM version 4.6.9
Running on Macbook Air  Intel Mac
System 10.7.5

I was trying to upload to flickr.  I got the initial warning about not receiving the photosets, but after a few moments they showed up. I initiated the upload and it looked like it worked.  However, when I went to flicker I couldn't find the picture.  I selected a set to send it to, but it's not there.  I tried a couple of times, but no luck.  I did have the box selected "save upload logs to folder", but I couldn't find the folder that contains the files.

Thanks in advance.

Does /Users/ejabood/Pictures/Flickr/ exist already?

Does the 'sent' sub-folder exist now in your contact sheet folder and does it contain copies of what you attempted to upload to Flickr?

Have you checked your other photosets for the photos?

Do the pictures take an appropriate amount of time to upload or do they progress more quickly than you expect?

I uploaded to my Flickr test account the other day (with PM5) and it worked fine for me.

Yes the folder existed except for the slight spelling difference   /Users/ejabood/Pictures/Flick

No, the sent folder is not in the folder that the picture was sent from

Yes, I checked the subsets, the picture was not in them

I only sent one testing this out.  It was instantaneous.

Not sure what to try next.

Thanks

EJ

I don't know if this helps, but I just tried to upload to flickr using PM 5 and it worked fine.   It brought up a separate window during the upload process that never happened on my current version.

Ok Kirk,

I just tried to upload using PM 4.6.9 which is my current version.  All works ok now.  Still scratching my head, but just glad it started working.

I spoke to soon.  I now have tried using PM on my Desktop.

OS 10.6.8
IMAC INTEL CORE 2 Duo
4G Ram
PM 4.6.9

I"ve included a snapshot of the screen.  Same problem as what I had earlier on my laptop.  Select to upload but the upload screen does not appear and no pics are uploaded to Flickr

Thanks

Perhaps running PM 5 temporarily (demo) will correct your PM 4.6.9 Flickr upload problem on your desktop system as well.
