P7700 NRW not combined with JPG

PM5, build 13915, in Win 7 Pro is not combining RAW and JPG files when the NRW is from a P7700. It does combine them for P7100 NRWs.

We tried this with NRW+JPG pair from P7700 on Win 7 Ultimate using build 13915 and it works fine.  Also works on my Mac (later build though).  There shouldn't be any difference in the model producing the NRW files (P7100 or P7700).  Are you sure the files have the same exact basename?

I did a test. If I extract the JPG from the NRW using PM, the files are joined.

If I open a NRW file into Capture NX 2.4.3 then save to a JPG from there, they are not joined, even if the file base name is the same.

Or appears so. Although I have the sort order set to Filename, all the NRW's appear before the JPG's.

Well now this is a different story than NRW+JPG straight off the camera.  It could be some other checks that PM is making regarding mating these two files together. I will have to investigate further.  I could have sworn that it was only the basename that was checked.  Do the two files have a different capitalization for '.NRW' vs '.jpg' for example?

The capitalization and spacing in the file names is the same.

I've just edited some older P7100 files with CNX and no problem on Joining. Let me shoot some NRW plus JPG with the P7700 today and see what happens.

The two files have different filenames. There's a space at the beginning of the raw file filename.

Make sure the two files' names are exactly the same so they pair up.

I wonder where the space is coming from. I just do a save as to the same name.

Are you running it through any other software? The Save As from Capture NX2 auto-fills the save line with the filename, see if the space in front of the filename is present during this dialog.
