PM disables the screensaver in Mac OS 10.8

Im running Photo Mechanic Version 5.0, build 15277 (0ebcc6a)
on a Mac mini,  Mac OSX 10.8.5

Ever since upgrading to this latest build , if PM is running, the screen saver on my Mac doesnt activate.

If I quit PM the screen saver kicks in as normal.

-Also - this latest build seems to be the slowest, prone to locking up version ever.
It takes over 2 minutes to launch and sometimes doesnt even get that far, it just hangs the whole system. Really frustrating.

Hangs the whole system?  As in the only way to use the computer again is to force a reboot?  No user application should be able to do that to your computer.  I suggest checking your computer for RAM problems and disk problems.

Yeah, thought of that already. No issues with disk or Ram.
No other application makes the Mac behave like this.
No previous version of PM made the Mac behave like this.
Just a glitchy build I guess

Hmm.  We have no other reports of this.  Please call for support.  Troubleshooting via the forums is not the best method.  Call +1 503 547-2888 to speak to one of our technical support specialists.
