raw to jpg via PM
« on: May 06, 2014, 02:07:31 PM »
Shot my pix in Raw.  I have selected a few I'd like to open right away in photoshop CS6 as jpgs.  How do I grab those 6, and export them to as jpg's into photoshop.
Nothing seems obvious in PM to do this.
Thanks, Penni

If you drag and drop the images onto Photoshop it should open them (in the Adobe Camera RAW plugin).  If you really want to open the RAW files as pure JPEGs, you'd have to save the RAW files as JPEGs first in Photo Mechanic and then open the JPEGs in Photoshop.

You can set Photoshop as one of your image editing applications (from the Launching section of the PM Preferences dialog) and then you can use a number of methods to send your photos to Photoshop, including the Edit Photos command on the Image menu, by right-clicking on an image in the Contact Sheet and choosing one of the edit options, pressing keyboard shortcuts, or via drag-and-drop.
