I have discovered a strange phenomenon in Photo Mechanic Quick Search (Mac 5.0 build 15451).
When I use Quick Search to search for images with a text string, sometimes PM shows only the JPEG copy in the search results, and sometimes both RAW original along with the JPEG copy. (see screenshot #1). This is despite the fact that both RAW and JPEG are tagged together in PM. The option to "Combine RAW+JPEG into single thumbnail" is checked in the Contact Sheet preferences pane.
When I look at the photos metadata via Adobe Bridge, I can clearly see that they both contain the very same metadata information. (see screenshot #2)
Photo Mechanic WRITE the information correct for both RAW and JPEG, but does not seem to READ the information correctly. The misbehavior occurs only for some images, although they are all taken at the same time with just a few minutes apart and treated in exactly the same way.
I have also attached my PM IPTC/XMP Preferences tab (see screenshot #3).
What could be wrong?
P.S. This is not the case in PM Find (CMD+F on Mac)
