Ingest copies all photos instead of only locked ones
« on: August 19, 2023, 01:58:48 AM »
It always worked fine, but since yesterday, when I ingest a card, all photos on my card are copied to the hard disk, not only the locked ones.

The setting "Copy only locked photos" is selected, but apparently it doesn't work anymore.

How can I get only the locked photos be ingested?

just a question: Have the filter settings in the ingest dialog accidentally been changed?
After 5 years of absence I restarted the photography.

I have this setting activated, but nevertheless all photos are ingested and not only the locked ones

If you browse the photos, do the locked photos show the tag checkbox checked?

I found out that it works fine with CF Express card and CF card, but not with SD cards

Is this SD card used as a secondary card in the same camera as the CFexpress or CF card?

When you mentioned that you see the locked photos as tagged in the Contact Sheet, were you looking at the SD card or the CF/CF Express card?

Yes, the SD card is used as secondary card in the same camera as the CF Card.

I was looking at the SD card

Most cameras won't lock images on both cards, usually only on the primary card. Hopefully that explains why you were having this issue.

Also when I only use the SD card in my camera (Canon R3), all pictures of the card are ingested, instead of only the locked ones. I can see a lock (check mark) on the pictures in PM, but all images are ingested.
And also, when I want to ingest new pictures, also the already ingested photos are ingested again. (incremental ingest is checked on in the settings).

I get a bit tired of this not working feature....

I have this exact same issue... and i've been on to support who weren't really able to give me any help.

I'm on two Nikon D750's so using SDcards and when i import every single time it imports all my photos and not just the selects.

It's very frustrating as i work as a sports photographer and it's getting to the stage where it's affecting my ability to do my job well.

And yes i've attached screenshots and gone through all that with support.

and yes this also happens me too "when I want to ingest new pictures, also the already ingested photos are ingested again. " .... which is most frustrating thing. Can you imagine trying to live send images pitch-side with this happening?

I rented a D780 last year to use as a floor remote for a basketball game and I would lock files along the way did the same with D5 and Z9, the cfxpress cards would D/L locked but SD would D/L all. Doing a test on a friends Df same thing it only D/L all and would have to select tagged from the drop down. So it maybe something to do with SD cards since it was only happening on those cards.

The last communication that I can find between you and our support team was Maury asking to schedule a call with you so he could screen share and investigate the issue or for you to simply call in since we are available by phone every business day.  We never received a follow up to that from you and I can't find any record that you called in. Did you receive Maury's email? Did we miss a follow up from you?
