Any news on the Catalogue release? Will it have an API to connect a CMS?

No, it won't have an API initially.  What CMS do you have in mind and what API documentation does it have?

If I recall correctly, the catalog product was announced in October of last year for future release.   Has there been any further official announcements that I might have missed?

Thanks for the info, Kirk. We are using one CMS for print products, which is WoodWing and another one for online publishing, which is GeCont. Both offer a XML API. No further documentation available at the moment.

Hi, Heavymeister
Would it be an advantage if PM used this kind of interface for personal/individual usage?
TIA

Good Day Kirk,

I know Catalogue is still under DEV, but could you commit to a firm confirmation that 2013 will be the year we will see a Final Product?
by 2013 I mean at least end of 2013?

Regards
Lanzi

No.  It is still in development.

Hi ron,

i beg to differ. in my humble opinion it is a legit question to ask for any kind of solid information regarding a release date of a software that has been announced in 2011 with a promised release date for 2012. i was not asking for an exact date. 2013 is a big timeframe and i just wanted to know if 2013 will be the year we will see a final product one can actually buy.

i know cambits wants to do a solid job, which is noble and should be appreciated, but non the less they will have a roadmap and hence should be able to at least pinpoint an entire year as a time frame for an official release.

so my question again, will we see a final catalogue product in 2013?

regards lanzi

p.s. yes i am new to the forum but not new to the products of cambits. using pm for more than 4 years.
